Bushcraft 101: The Art of Net Making

Join us as local bushcraft instructor Darrik Walker teaches us how to make small net bags.

The same technique can be used for making gill nets, dip nets, and hammocks as well.

Topics covered will be:

  • How to make your own cordage from nettle or where to buy cordage specific for your project.

  • Carving a net needle

  • Gauges

  • The basic knots for tying and repairing nets

Please Bring: Small knife (4-inch blade or smaller, not serrated) + Snack and water
