This Basket was designed by Shannon Lucas Westrum, exclusively for this workshop series.

Students will have the opportunity to learn the making of a filled woven base, weaving with flat and round reed, twining, and making their own accent cordage from locally harvested grasses or leaves. The final step will be to create lovely wrapped handles.  Instructor will also be sharing a presentation on basketry techniques and experiences learned in basketry.  Finished basket is approx 17” long, 12” deep, basket 7.5” high and total height 15”.  Must be at least 16 to attend.  Hand dexterity required. 

This is a 2 day class; Friday 6 - 8 pm AND Saturday 10am- 4 pm
