Come join us for the perfect Father's Day class celebration… Grilling!
The Big Green Egg is not just an amazing product that has changed how many feed their guests and family, but it also is part of a 3,000+ year old Japanese cooking tradition, Kamado cooking! Kamado is a Japanese term for a circular clay or ceramic cooking vessel which uses charcoal, wood or both to cook food!
Though Kamado cooking is not complicated, it is a little intimidating. So Folk School Warroad is partnering with Doug's Supermarket to bring you Kamado Cooking History and How To's!
At this 3 hour community class we will:
Learn some of the history of Kamado cooking and why it has lasted for thousands of years.
Demystifying meal preparation and starting a meal
Cooking and Grilling (Open grate grilling- direct, Convection baking with the grill, Roasts, Pizza, desserts)
Cast iron on a Grill (fish fry, bacon and eggs!)
Smoking

There will be tasting throughout the event so have a light lunch!
