Learn about the harvesting process of traditional Anishinaabe kinnikinic Asemaa (tobacco) made from red willow

Native tobacco, called “cansasa” or “asemaa” by area tribes, is carefully hand-prepared. and used in ceremonies by some native tribes in Minnesota.

In this class, participants will learn about the harvesting process and will participate in assembling tobacco ties for the Warroad community.

Beginner friendly, no experience necessary!
